Nigeria U17 forward Abubakar Sa’id says he has not sign representative contract with any agents following claims by some agent that he is their client, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Sa’id gained global recognition when he fired a hattrick for the Nigerian team to power them from behind to a 3-2 win over Ecuador and that has got some agents claiming that they are his representatives.
The Dabo Babes of Kano forward however said he didn’t sign any representation contract and even his parents didn’t give any individual parental consent to represent him in transfer talks.
” For now I want to focus on the World Cup but I want everyone to know that I don’t have any agent yet. I didn’t sign for any individual and my parents too didn’t give anyone the power to represent me. After the World Cup will discuss the next option “, Sa’id told Owngoalnigeria.com.
Speaking on the chances of finishing as top scorer, the forward said that is not an obsession as he is someone who puts the team first but admits that he won’t mind getting the award if it will help the team lift the team.
” The top scorer award will be nice but I am a team player and if winning it will help my team lift the trophy then I will be glad. I just want us to do well. It means a lot to our friends, family and the entire country, we know they are watching and praying for us”, he concluded.
