The U23 team of Nigeria warmed up for their campaign at the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations with a 0-0 draw against Cameroon in a friendly game played yesterday at their camp in Egypt.

Owngoalnigeria.com has obtained exclusive reports on the players who impressed the coach Imama Amapakabo led technical crew in the game which was played at a level pleasing to the neutrals.

1. Anthony Izuchukwu – A beast at the back for the Nigerian team. Loves a tackle and won almost all the aerial ball‎ he went for. He also moved the ball out of the defence in a convincing way.

2. Samuel Atvati – Didn’t look lost playing as left full back even though he is more at home as a right back. Worked his socks off with solid tackles and smart reading of play. Didn’t lose a single duel for the time he was on the pitch.

3. Aliyu Yau Adams – Came in as a substitute and made an instant impact with the way he moved the ball quickly. Worked really hard and covered lot of grounds. Looks a very good player from the way he asserted himself.

4. Sincere Seth – Stood up nicely to the challenge of keeping his man in check with his tackle success rate. Has pace to burn but need to join the attack more particularly when the team is not under pressure.

5. Orji Okwonkwo – Very lively in attack as he used his body to good effect. Guilty of wasting a good chance to score but overall had a solid game as the arrow head of the attack.
