The coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has revealed the starting lineup for the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers game against Lesotho.
Rohr made two changes to the team that defeated Benin Republic 2-1 with the duo of Jamilu Collins and Samuel Kalu dropping out of the starting lineup for Chidozie Awaziem and Moses Simon respectively.
Collins was dropped for his below par performance for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their last two games namely the 1-1 friendly draw against Brazil and on Wednesday AFCON 2021 win over Benin Republic.
Rohr felt he was becoming complacent due to lack of competition hence the need to drop the Paderborn defender for Torino of Italy Ola Aina who was impressive against Benin Republic at right back but will operate as left full back against Lesotho.
Awaziem takes Aina’s spot as the right full back of the team with Moses Simon also rewarded for his form at French side Nantes with a starting position ahead of Kalu who scored in the last game but isn’t fully fit for today’s encounter.
