Osimhen Hit Brace, Chukwueze, Iwobi On Target As Super Eagles Beat Lesotho In Maseru

The senior national team of Nigeria once again had to come from behind in their second AFCON 2021 Qualifiers to secure a 4-2 win over Lesotho in far away Maseru, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.

Lesotho took a shock lead in the opening ten minutes of the game but Alex Iwobi drew Nigeria level four minutes later and Samuel Chukwueze handed them the lead with both goals assisted by Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen got the goal his performance deserve when he got the third goal for Nigeria before killing the game off as a contest with his second but Nigeria’s fourthly of the game to put scores at 4-2.

Lesotho were however handed a consolation goal when Chidozie Awaziem surprisingly directed a harmless cross past Daniel Akpeyi in goal for the Super Eagles.

The own goal was the last meaningful action of the game as Nigeria hanged on to claim a 4-2 win which also lifted them to top of their qualifiers group with six points from their first two games of the qualifiers.
