Brazilian superstar Neymar has praised the performance of Nigerian forward Moses Simon for Nantes in their 0-2 loss to the league leaders and defending champions PSG.
Neymar scored one of the goals that handed the Paris based team all three points but he was quick to point out how difficult it was for his team and mentioned Simon as one player who was a threat to the backline of his team.
Simon was on for the entire duration of the game and even though he failed to get himself on the scoresheet or an assist like he did over the weekend, his performance earned him a mentioned by Neymar in his post match comment.
” Never easy to pick a point against a team that is organised like Nantes. They played on the break with Simon who is never tired of running. We have to wait for the right time to take our chances when it came”, Neymar said.
On loan from Spanish Laliga side Levante, Simon will most likely join Nantes permanently in the summer but the Ligue 1 side will likely trade him off almost immediately as they have received proposals from some clubs willing to sign the Nigeria international.
