
Molde striker Leke James has used his cult hero status in Norway to woo as many as three clubs and eight different scouts to Kaduna for a scouting tournament tagged Leke James Invitational Tournament 3.0.
The forward who finished as top scorer with a brace on the final day of the season to end the season with 17 goals in 28 games for Molde who were crowned champions of the Norwegian league.
27 year old Leke will from on the 9th play host to technical officials of Molde and two other clubs for a two day scouting tournament which will be attended by eight other scouts working for teams in and outside Norway.
It’s the third time the forward will be organising the tournament and according to the forward, the aim is to give young players the chance to be discovered same way he was also discovered before making his mark abroad.
” One has to play his role in nation building. It’s never easy for young footballers to achieve their dreams in Africa due to several reasons but I was among the fortunate ones. So I want to use my present position to help other players who were like me years ago”, Leke told Owngoalnigeria.com.
