Ligue 1 giants Olympique Marseille have approached Dutch Eredivisie side Heerenveen over their Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke in view of signing the 21 year old in the January transfer window, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Ejuke has caught the eyes this season for Heerenveen, the team he joined in the summer from Norwegian side Valerenga where he spent two seasons. He has immediately proved himself to be a shrewd bargain with the way he has settled down to life at the Dutch side.
With six goals in 15 games, the winger who was also voted the U-21 player of the month in the Netherlands last month has shown that he has an eye for goal even though he is well known for his abilities to get past his markers with ease.
Marseille are reportedly willing to pay as high as €20m for the wing forward according to sources privy to the camp of the player and they have already sounded out Heerenveen. It is believed that the Dutch side will likely want to hold on to Ejuke until at least the summer of 2020.
