The coach of the Nigeria U20 team Paul Aigbogun has joined English Conference League side Chester FC on a temporary assignment as he awaits the decision of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) over the renewal of his contract.
London based Aigbogun led the Nigeria U20 team to the U20 World Cup in Poland where they crashed out in the first knock out round of the tournament and later led same team to a silver medal finish at the All Africa Games in Morocco.
At Chester FC he is working with the duo of Bernard Morley and Anthony Joshua, the coaches who led Salford City to three different promotions during their time at the club which ended in May last year.
Morley worked with Aigbogun as a player while the coach was working in Wales and even when he moved to the MLS he took Morley with him and right now they are now working as a pair for the good of Chester FC.
Owngoalnigeria.com can confirm that Aigbogun works with the club in advisory capacity and usually travel for games during the weekend as he bids to add to his knowledge and also keep himself up to date with the demands of modern day coaching.
The coach is among the long list of coach eyeing the Nigeria U20 job as he has submitted his application to be granted an extension following the expiration of his previous deal and the subsequent advertisement of his position by the NFF.
