Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze has admitted that he need to work extra hard on goal scoring and has subsequently started extra drills on how to score more goals.
Last season, he scored just five goals in 26 league games in what was his breakthrough season in the Spanish top flight and this season he is well on course to better that tally with three goals to his name from 18 games played so far.
Despite the slight improvement, the 20 year old said he believe he can score more goals and he is putting extra works in training both with the team and personally to bring it to pass in the second half of the season.
” The idea is to contribute more goals for the good of the team and that is what I am working on. I have dedicated extra time in training alone to achieve this and also when we train I pay special attention to that aspect of my game. I believe I should be scoring more goals”, Chukwueze told Owngoalnigeria.com.
Last weekend he won a penalty which helped Villarreal draw level before eventually winning 2-1 against Real Sociedad which took them to 9th on the Laliga table.
