
English Premier League side Newcastle United have caused confusion in the camp of Belgium outfit Club Brugge after making a bid of around £9m for Nigerian forward Dennis Emmanuel Bonaventure, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Newcastle United have been tracking the 22 year old who caught the attention of the rest of the world with a brace at the Santiago Bernabeu when Brugge held Real Madrid to a 2-2 draw in the UEFA Champions League.
The camp of the forward are open to the move happening in January but Brugge want any move to be put on hold till the summer as they expect other clubs to show interest in the wing forward who has five league goals from 15 games this season.
Also the bid from Newcastle United is viewed as not good enough by the Belgium outfit even though his management team believe the offer is to an extent the present market value of the forward as it contains further add ons base on success rate.
For now the club are resolute in their bid to keep him but his representatives are hoping of a breakthrough and have maintained contact with Newcastle United to force Brugge into making a deal this summer.
