Benfica Reach Agreement To Loan Ebuehi To Dutch League Side Following Recovery From Injury

24 year old Nigeria international defender Tyronne Ebuehi will in the coming days seal a loan move from Benfica back to a club in the Netherlands ‎to enable get match fitness after his full recovery from anterior cruciate ligament injury he picked up in the summer of 2018.

The Nigerian missed all of last season due to the injury but this season he has gained sufficient time playing for the U23 and B team of Benfica and the club believe a loan move back to Holland will help speed up his return to full shape.

This season he has played seven games for the U23s and four matches for the B team without suffering any relapse on the left injury that he was operated upon in 2018, a month after he joined the team on a free transfer from ADO Den Haag.

For now his destination is yet unknown but it is almost certain that he will return to the Dutch League and play for a team where he is sure going to get regular game time before returning back to Benfica in the summer of 2020.

A return to game time in a top flight league will no doubt put him back in the frame of the senior national team of Nigeria where he has been unable to follow up his impressive outing at the World Cup 2018 due to the injury he suffered that kept him out for one year.
