22 year old Nigerian forward Chidera Ejuke says he is not losing sleep over an invitation to the senior national team of Nigeria as he believe his time will come if he continue to impress at Dutch top division side Heerenveen.
Since joining the Dutch side in the summer, he has turned out to be one of the most respected forward in the league with six goals and two assists to his name from 18 matches in the league. Aside that he has completed the most dribbles in the league.
Despite the fact that he was one of the standout players in the Dutch Eredivisie in the first stanza he still didn’t get a chance to play for the senior national team of Nigeria with coach Gernot Rohr snubbing him for others.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com, the Kaduna born forward said it’s all about staying fit and performing consistently for his club and a call up to the senior team will come naturally as no coach will leave out a good player.
” My time will come, all I have to do is to continue working hard and stay fit. My performance has to be better than now and a call up will come naturally. For now doing my best for Heerenveen is my priority”, Ejuke told Owngoalnigeria.com.
