Cyriel Dessers has been priced out of a deadline day move to Laliga side Celta Vigo by his Dutch side Heracles Almelo who are keen on retaining his services until at least the end of the season, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.
25 year old Dessers who has already agree to commit his international future to Nigeria ahead of Belgium refused to train yesterday when the club rejected the offer from the Laliga side.
The forward who has 12 goals and 5 assists this season is however back in training according to coach of the team Frank Wormuth, who confirmed that indeed there was a big for the forward turned down by Heracles.
” I do not want to go into these situations only in general do I say so. A contract is a contract and that is very clear. For a club, player and coach. If you sign for few years you’re happy then you’re certain. But it’s a business world, you can earn money by moving that I know but the rules are clear”, the coach said.
Italian Serie A side SPAL also slapped in a bid for the forward but it is believed that he rejected it as he prefers a move to Celta Vigo, who have been told it will cost in excess of €5m to sign the forward who has a contract till the summer of 2022.
