On loan FS Metta of Latvia defender Lukman Zakari says his intention is to earn a permanent deal at Spanish side Real Betis at the expiration of his loan deal at the club at the end of the season.
The former Nigeria U17 and 20 defender is signed to the Spanish team and will start from the B team from where his progress will be monitored for promotion to the first team base on his performance.
Already he has missed the first half of the season due to administrative issues bothering on securing a work permit but he is determined to earn a permanent stay at the club by proving himself in the final six months of his loan deal.
” Some issues delayed my debut but hopefully I will start playing soon for the B team. My aim still remains the same and that is to impress for the B team and earn a permanent contract. It’s one step at a time for me.
” I really can’t wait to get started. I have missed the pressure of playing in competitive games but the training here has been very good and intense. Now I fully understand how the coach want me and the rest of the team to play and I am ready to implement it when I get to play”.
