German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen have confirmed their first signing for next season by announcing a deal with Osnabruck for the services of 20 year old right back Felix Agu.
Agu will join the team next season for pre season training in view of winning a shirt in their squad for next season according to the announcement made by Werder Bremen on his signing.
The defender was close to making a switch to the senior national team of Nigeria after talks with Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr but he decided to have a change of mind and instead honored a call up to the German U20 team.
Rohr is still keen on the defender and according to several reports talks are still ongoing as Agu believe that his route to the senior national team of Nigeria is blocked with the presence of other young players who are ahead of him.
Declaring for Nigeria will see him follow in the foot steps of Leon Balogun, Maduka Okoye and Joel Sarenren Bazee who are all eligible for Germany but decided to represent Nigeria at international level.
