23 year old Nigerian forward Emmanuel Apeh is pushing for a spot in the first team of Laliga side Celta Vigo with near faultless performance for their B team in the Spanish third division.

Apeh who made his first team debut last season in the Laliga hasn’t scored 12 goals in 24 games this season and also has two assists to his name. A far better season for him than last time out when he was mostly injured.

Even though he has missed games this season he has however played in more games than he did last time out where he played in 22 games and scored seven goals in what was his first season at the club following his move from Lorca.

His contract was extended for a year by the club after his breakthrough into the first team but this season he hasn’t played for the first team and his contract will run out in the summer. Talks are however on about an extension.

The idea is to have him extend his deal and also hand him a spot in the first team during pre season next summer and see if he will be able to live up to the belief that he is the long term replacement for the ageing forwards of the team.
