Former Nigeria U17 and 20 defender Lukman Zakari has received the all clear to make his debut for the second team of Laliga side Real Betis, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Zakari received his league registration card last week and was hoping to make the squad for the game against Conil which they won win an emphatic 4-0 scoreline to stay top of the Tercera Division.
Since signing on loan from Latvian side FS Metta the defender is yet to make his debut due to work permit issue after a mix up in the passport he submitted for the processing of his permit upon his arrival.
It was sorted out in January with the defender needing to return to Nigeria and collect a fresh passport which he used to secure the permit. He had to wait for the home office to process his registration which was completed last week.
Barring a late minute change of plans he will be in the team for the game against Sevilla C on Sunday, a game that will be his first in his quest to earn a permanent deal at the expiration of his loan deal in the summer.
