Relatively unknown Nigerian player, Nuradeen Idris who recently joined 15 time Belarusian champions, BATE Borisov is having the time of his life in the Eastern European country.
The 18 year old forward had joined Borisov Reserve Team in 2019 but his impressive start to life has left the Reserve coaches impressed. After series of training sessions with the first team, the young forward is ready a first team stepup.
First team coaches paid close attention to Nuradeen when he starred for the Reserve team in their game against FC Molodechno in February, where he scored a brace, as his team won 3-0.
In the 28th minute, Nuradeen drew the first blood in that game from 12 yards, as his team mate, Ivan Kaloshkin was hacked down in the box. In quick succession Nurabagged his brace via an assist from Kaloshkin, as the both players teamed up beautifully to double Borisov’s lead. After play resumed in the second half, Maksim Hayavy put the cherry on the cake for the Yellow and Blues.
Inspite of the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world, football is still on-going in Belarus and the boys of Cyril Alshevsky will be playing against Slavia in Round 2 of the 2020 Belarus Championship. The game will take place on Saturday 28 March at the Mazyr Stadium.
