Former Super Eagles wing wizard Finidi George has voiced his opinion on the performance of coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr as discussion continue over the possibility of extending his contract.
Speaking on popular Nigeria WhatsApp platform NSM, Finidi said it’s unethical for a coach that he is now to criticise another coach who is in his job. He however said the feeling from Nigeria is that the coach can do more.
Finidi who was a part of the ‎Super Eagles of Nigeria team of 94 rated by some as the best ever in the history of Nigerian football believe the coach has had enough time to effect changes and the NFF should be decisive on his future.
Presently in the running for a national team post, the former Real Madrid Sporting Director and Mallorca Youth team coach admonished Rohr to continue to work for the betterment of the team and also instill a style to their play.
“He has had his opportunities, he has had his time and Nigeria expect more from him. You know just to change and we have not seen that, we don’t know which way the NFF is going, we don’t know what they are doing. We’ll just see what will happen. Nigerians expect more and we have not had it”, Finidi said.
