Former Super Eagles forward Victor Moses says he is open to the idea of playing in another World Cup tournament after representing Nigeria at the 2014 and 2018 edition. He retired from international football after the World Cup in Russia.
Now on loan to Inter Milan from Chelsea, the winger who can also operate as a wingback is enjoying a new lease of life at the Italian side and was almost cementing his spot in the team before the league was suspended due to outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
With one more year to go on his contract at Chelsea after this season , Inter Milan have the option of buying him permanently at the end of this season but for now there’s no decision from the Italian side. Although it’s partly due to the suspension of the league.
While there’s still doubt on his club career, the 29 year old is opened to playing at the World Cup although he didn’t state if he is willing to quit his decision to retire from international football.
” The World Cup is the pinnacle of international football and I have played in it twice for Nigeria. It’s a beautiful feeling and one I will love to experience once again. Many things make World Cup the biggest event in international football “, Moses said in an interview sourced by Owngoalnigeria.com from the Italian media.
