24 year old Manchester United left full back Luke Shaw has singled out on loan Chelsea winger Victor Moses as one of the toughest opponent he has faced in his career.
Shaw who has played against players like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale in his eight years as a professional footballer said playing against Moses was one he struggled to cope due to the style of the retired Nigeria international winger.
Moses who is at Inter-Milan played against Shaw while he was a 17 year old at Southampton and according to the Manchester United defender his pace, strength and directness makes it hard to cope when up against him.
The Nigerian faced Shaw in the 2016/2017 English Premier League season when Shaw was just making his breakthrough with Moses an integral part of the title winning squad of Antonio Conte who played him as a right wing back.
“People always think I’m joking, but one of my hardest games ever was against Victor Moses when I was coming in as a 17-year-old at Southampton,” Shaw said on United’s official website.
“Maybe because I was so young. He was really quick, direct, strong and that was a challenge for me.
“I’ve played against the likes of Gareth Bale, Messi and [Eden] Hazard, and they were all so good, but I always remember Victor Moses as a really tough opponent as well.”
