Nigeria international wing forward Moses Simon is currently caught in a fix regarding his next career move following a very impressive season in France where he was on loan to Nantes from Levante.
Simon scored nine goals and also produce same amount of assist before the league was declared concluded due to the coronavirus pandemic but the forward has already done enough to attract interest from teams in and outside Europe.
Already Nantes has made it know that they will be triggering the option of signing him permanently this summer for the agreed fee of 5 million euros but at the same time will be open to selling him off immediately if a fee in the region of 15 million euros is tabled for him.
That declaration by the club has already triggered a scramble for his signing with Rennes, Lyon, Hertha Berlin and Newcastle United among the teams in Europe credited with an interest in the forward. However it appears the race has now been reduced to just Rennes and Lyon.
Aside the duo, Nantes received a mammoth offer worth over 12 million euros for the forward from an unnamed Chinese team who are also willing to pay the 24 year old 200,000 euros a week. An offer he rejected but still remains on the table.
The main issue now is if he should take the Chinese offer and make a fortune for himself and his family or build on his career by remaining in Europe for a sum not up to what he is being offered at the moment by teams in Europe.
In the coming days a decision is expected to be made but presently he is leaning towards remaining in Europe and France in particular as he want to still remain close to his family following the birth of his second child by his wife just last week.
