An idea on how the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr will line up his players when on loan Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria teams up with the team has been provided to Owngoalnigeria.com.

Ejaria’s switch has been approved by world football governing body meaning the 23 year old is eligible to feature for Nigeria when international games resumes after the Covid19 pandemic.

Already Nigeria have the likes of Alex Iwobi, Joe Aribo, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo and Shehu Abdullahi as options in midfield with Ndidi, Aribo and Iwobi the preferred three in midfield at the moment.

The coming of Ejaria will likely see one of the midfielders give way and according to sources close to Rohr it’s likely going to be Iwobi with Rohr planning to play him from the left wing where he played for Arsenal and even at his present team Everton.

” Ejaria is not a problem at all. The more, the merrier and he is a different kind of player from the rest we have in the team at the moment. He carries the ball like Etebo but he can create chances from deep. When Rohr watched him live he did that like three times for Reading, that played a part.

” For now Iwobi will likely revert to the left wing but nothing is certain yet. It’s a nice headache to have and when all is settled the battle for spot will be fierce, I mean very fierce which is good for the team”, a source revealed to Owngoalnigeria.com.
