Fanendo Adi Donates 10 Million Naira Covid-19 Food Palliatives To Benue State People

Former MLS goal king Fanendo Adi has lend his support to the people of Benue State, Nigeria in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic which has brought about a standstill in economic activities all over the world, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.

The Columbus Crew striker who is a native of the state donated 2000 bags of rice worth ten million naira to be distributed to people of the state ‎through the state government with governor of the state Samuel Ortom receiving the items on behalf of the government.

Speaking on the motivation behind the donation of the food items the Portland Timbers all time top scorer said it is his own way of supporting the masses of the state who are facing untold hard times in this challenging season.

“It’s my absolute pleasure to be able to help these masses of Benue State in this very challenging ‎times. We all know what is happening now is due to no fault of the people and to be in a position to help us very fulfilling. I thank God for the blessing to be able to help and I know this food items will get to the vulnerable “, he said after presenting the items.

‎29 year old Adi went into the record books in 2017 when he became the all time top scorer of MLS side Portland Timbers when he netted from the spot against Philadelphia Union for his 46th goal for the club.
