French Ligue 1 side Lyon has stepped up their offer to hit in demand Nantes player Moses Simon in a bid to lure the player from the hands of fellow Ligue 1 rivals Rennes.
Simon ended the season with nine goals and eight assist to pick the award of the club player of the year. Already Nantes have made it known to Levante that they will make his deal permanent in the summer.
For now a transfer from Levante to Nantes need to be completed before the club will start accepting bids but the teams are already speaking with his representatives on what they intend to pay him if he decides to join them.
The idea is to transfer him to another club and despite the player verbally agreeing to join Rennes , Lyon are yet to give up on his chase and they have made an improved offer in terms of personal terms for the 24 year old.
Although Rennes have the upper hand right now as they will be able to offer Champions League football to Simon, Lyon are pushing by offering him more by way of a better pay package and bonus than Rennes.
