The top scorer for Nigeria at the Rio 2016 Olympics Sadiq Umar took his goals count to 17 for the season after scoring from the spot for Partizan Belgrade in their 4-1 win over Mladost Lucani.
The goal was his 12th league goal of the season with five of his other goals coming in the Europa League . He also has 11 assists in the League with two more in the Europa League as well.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com on his new found form in front of goal, the 23 year old said it’s a combination of all he has learnt from several coaches bar coach of Rangers of Scotland Steven Gerard.
“ I am seeing the efforts of the coaches that I have worked under. It’s really what I can say that is behind my confidence in front of goal. I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the best coaches in the world “, he said.
“ For everywhere I have played , I have picked up something new except at Rangers where I learnt nothing from the coach. That was a very funny phase in my career”.
