The senior international future of Arsenal’s teen star Bukayo Saka has been in the news since the 18 year old made his breakthrough in the first team of the club two seasons ago.
A youth international for England but he qualify to represent Nigeria through his father who is from the West African country and the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) have wasted no time in sounding him out.
President of the NFF, Amaju Pinnick who is a fan of Arsenal set the ball rolling by speaking with Saka last year but was told by the parents and representatives of the left footed teen star that a decision will be made when he sorts out his club future.
Saka penned an extension to his deal at Arsenal last week and he celebrated it with a goal yesterday as Arsenal secured a 2-0 win away at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League. The goal was his first in the competition.
After the game, the official twitter handle of the senior national team of England posted a message of congratulations to Saka over his first English Premier League goal. The move can be viewed of a sign that they are aware of his exploits this season particularly since the restart.
