Zaidu Sanusi Shines In First Game For FC Porto

Newly signed FC Porto leftback Zaidu Sanusi showed his class for FC Porto in a test game against Tondela at their training camp as they round up preparations for the start of the new season in Portugal.

Signed a little over a week ago, the 22 year old Nigerian didn’t was introduced as a substitute in the 4-3 win and for the time that he was on the pitch he impressed coach Sergio Conceicao.

He combined his defensive duties with forays upfront to aid the attack. A trait he was famous for at his former club Santa Clara. More importantly he didn’t look out of place despite training with his new teammates for just a week.

His strong showing will no doubt boost his chances of getting game time when they start their campaign on the 19th of September with a game away to Sporting Braga.

Zaidu has been pencilled down for a call up to the senior national team of Nigeria for their upcoming friendly games in October which will take place in Austria against two of African top teams in Côte d’Ivoire and Tunisia respectively.
