Nantes of France forward Moses Simon says his exchange with Cesc Fabregas during the course of his team 1-2 loss to Monaco was a friendly one.
Television cameras during the course of the game picked the Nigerian having a conversation with the former Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea ace in the heat of the Ligue 1 clash.
Simon revealed that there discussion was a friendly one with no malice attached as Fabregas jokingly asked him why he is so fast after he made a run from deep to stop an incursion into the box of his team.
“ It was nothing serious just a gentleman discussion. He said “ You’re too quick, how old are you ? I told him my age and that’s all. Nothing confrontational”, Simon told Owngoalnigeria.com.
Nantes are not having the best of start to the season but Simon insist it’s a phase that they will overcome soon and put smiles on the faces of their fans.
“ It’s a bad patch. It won’t last that I am sure of. The season is just three games old and we have four points. There are lot of points to play for and we will bounce back and make our fans smile”.
