Nigeria international Moses Simon has been compared to three players viewed by many as the best in their respective positions at their various teams.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com , French journalist Olivier James said at Nantes the Nigerian does the job of about three players during games.
“ When I watch Nantes play. I really don’t know the adjective to use on Moses Simon. He is Cristiano Ronaldo when he has to, Messi when the team need something special to win games and Sadio Mane when they need energy”, he said.
“ Back here in France there’s a popular saying that when he plays well then Nantes wins. He is that respected here for what he has done in the 18 months he has been here. So much that he didn’t score in the first three games and it was big news”.
The Nigerian got his first goal of the season against St. Etienne last week and according to Olivier, he will likely score more owing to the fact that the Nantes team revolves around him.
“ It’s clear that he will score more goals. That’s not in doubt. The way the team is set up around him is a beauty to behold. He could better his last season tally of nine goals and nine assists this season”.
