After two training sessions, the newly invited players of the senior national team of Nigeria are slowly coming to terms with the demands of coach of the team Gernot Rohr.
Owngoalnigeria.com have been tracking their performances and bring to you how they have performed so far.
Chidera Ejuke – As usual he has shown why he is so highly rated with his dribbling and abilities to wriggle out of tight spaces. Still need to work on his final ball but he was particularly impressive yesterday during the game they had on a mini pitch.
Frank Onyeka – Took a knock in yesterday’s game when he attempted to intercept a pass. Ended the session with bandages around his knee but it looks like nothing serious. Looks very much like a player who is happy to put his body where it hurts.
Zaidu Sanusi- Solid in going forward and assured in possession. Didn’t look out of place at all. Knows when to defend and when to attack. His movement on and off the ball was the main area of his game that showed all through the session.
Cyriel Dessers: The goal scorer wasn’t among the goals in yesterday’s session but he was very lively and impressive during the shooting practice. His ability to use his body was also impressive all through the session.
Samson Tijani – A whole lot different from the player that played at the 2019 U17 World Cup. He has improved his reading of the game and also hit a sweet effort which resulted in one of the goals that handed his team a 4-1 win during the session.
