Ahead of Villarreal’s game against Real Valladolid later today in the La Liga Unai Emery has been accused of negatively impacting on the abilities of Samuel Chukwueze.
Emery took over as coach of Villarreal in the summer and so far his team hasn’t played as many expected with Chukwueze yet to hit the height that made him a sensation with the team.
David Simons who owns a blog that focuses entirely on Villarreal said the decline in the performance of Chukwueze can be traced to Emery’s coaching methods.
Chukwueze has just two assists to his name this season from nine games, one each in the La Liga and the Europa League. A return that has caused concern for those who know the talent of the 21 year old.
“ You can tell he is struggling with too many instructions. The freedom to play his game is gone. Emery want him to play to every detail and that has killed his natural instincts. It’s clear to see”, David told Owngoalnigeria.com.
“ When you curb the natural instinct of a player who loves to express his self then a dip in confidence will naturally follow and that is what we are saying with Chukwueze. He will come good though”.
