Coach of Napoli Gennaro Gattuso has voiced his unhappiness over the performance of the attack of his team led by big money signing Victor Osimhen as they slump to a 0-2 loss to Sassuolo.

Napoli suffered their first loss on the pitch losing 0-2 to Sassuolo at the San Paolo. A result which cost them a spot in the top three as they remain in 5th position.

An unhappy Gattuso vented his unhappiness over the loss citing the lack of killer instinct upfront as why his team lost to high flying Sassuolo, who are now second on the log with four wins and two draws from their opening six games of the season.

”In the first half we also did well, but we had to take advantage of the scoring chances. We had to be better there and we could certainly do better.”

“The defeat in the end is there because Sassuolo is a very good team that has expressed itself at a great pace. They made us run a lot and we lost solidity. We need to be more concrete and less naive if we want to go forward.”

Since his big money move to Napoli, Osimhen has scored just once in four games but Gattuso has backed the striker to get back among the goals very soon.

“ No he is not struggling but he has to score and very soon he will. He is playing for the team and that’s very important for the way we play”, he concluded.
