20 year old Isloch of Belarus Nigerian left full back Godfrey Bitok has made the shortlist of the best ten dribblers in the top division in Belarus according to CIES Football Observatory an international sports research center.
In their recent report of players under the age of 21 in Belarus, the defender who was a part of the coach Imama Amapakabo U23 team that failed to make it to the next Olympic game was named in seventh position in the top ten.
Reacting to the news, the ex Geelec of Jos prospect said it came to him as a surprise considering his role is more of defending hence requires less time on the ball to dribble past his opponents.
“ It’s a pleasant surprise because my job is to stop people from dribbling. To see me myself in the list of completed dribbles is a bit flattering I must say but I’m proud of it “, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
Linked with a move away from modest side Isloch in January, Bitok who has two goals and three assists in 29 games in all competitions this season says its a possibility that his representatives will handle.
“ It’s possible but that is for my representatives. My aim is to continue to do well for Isloch in order to help them achieve their aim for the season. We wait still”, he said.
