Josh Maja has been listed among players who have failed to live up to expectations this season at French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux as the league get set to resume from the Christmas and New Year holiday.
Maja was listed alongside five others by 90min.com as players who are earning big at the club but delivering next to nothing on the pitch which could lead to their exit from the team very soon.
The former Sunderland forward has scored just two goals in 15 games this season with his last goal coming in October and he has slipped to third choice in attack behind the duo of Jimmy Briand and Hwang Ui-Jo.
He started the season as first choice striker but his form which has also stopped him from adding to his solitary cap for the senior national team of Nigeria saw him drop down the pecking order at the club.
A move back to England where he excelled for Sunderland in Ligue 1 has been rumored to be on the cards for the 22 year old who hasn’t settled down in France since his move in January 2018.
