Lorient striker Terem Moffi has won a place in the squad of the senior national team of Nigeria for the World Cup qualifiers which starts in June.
Nigeria will take on Liberia in Lagos on the 6th of June in their first game of the qualifiers and coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr has already hinted at a call up for Moffi.
Moffi has been in spectacular form this season with 14 Ligue 1 goals which includes 12 since January. Last weekend he scored a hattrick with coach of the Nigerian team watching.
In an interview with French outlet ouest-france.fr, the coach said the 21 year old has all but booked his spot in his team for the start of the World Cup qualifiers.
“ We are in awe of why he is doing. He was spectacular on Sunday by scoring a hattrick against my former team Bordeaux. I’m angry because he knocked us down. Just kidding of course but he has one foot in the Super Eagles squad for the World Cup qualifiers”, the coach said.
