Taiwo Awoniyi was once again the hero for German side Union Berlin as he hit a brave to power them to a 4-0 away win over Finnish side KuPS in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Union Berlin made the Nigerian their record signing when they accept to sign him permanently from Liverpool this summer after a successful time on loan last season.
Awoniyi opened his season goal account in the 1-1 draw against Bayern Leverkusen and he wasted no time in taking his form from the first Bundesliga game of the season to the European scene.
He started the raid over the Finnish side by turning home a cross for the opening goal of the game. He followed that up with an assist to Max Kruse to put his team two goals up.
32 minutes into the game, Kruse turned provider for the Nigerian who made no mistake as he finished off with a pin point left foot strike. The brace takes his goal count to three goals in the first two games of the season.
