Players of the senior national team of Nigeria have unanimously pick Rangers of Scotland defender Leon Balogun to lead a selected group of players who will hold talks with the NFF over their unpaid bonuses.
We gathered the players resolve to have Balogun as their spokesman with captain of the the team Ahmed Musa and his deputy William Ekong also part of the talks.
The team have not been paid any bonus since receiving payment for the AFCON 2019 third place win over Tunisia last year. The NFF admitted that they are owing the players after Balogun voiced out his frustration in an interview.
However despite openly admitting they are yet to contact the players on how they intend to clear the backlogs. The players want it resolved before the start of the World Cup qualifiers on the 3rd of September against Liberia.
