Nigeria international striker Moses Simon once again showed his usefulness to the course of Nantes this season by picking up two assists to power them to a 4-1 win over Angers.
Voted the player of the month by fans of the team with three assists before yesterday’s game , he solidify his fine start with two more in the win against Angers to take his tally to five in six games.
It means among all top leagues in Europe only Manchester United super star Paul Pogba has more assists than the 26 year old who operates mainly as a right or left winger with the French star having two more than the Nigerian.
Coach of Nantes Antoine Kombouare was full of praise for the Nigerian who was brought out in the 66th minute to a rousing applause from fans of the team as he continue to build his way to full fitness following a hamstring complain.
” You don’t get to see a player who give more to the team than for himself. Simon plays for the good of the team and it’s why he is very key to the way we play. He is very important to our plans for the season”, the coach said .
