Moses Simon Fires Nantes To French Cup Title, Hold Talks With President Of France Macron

Nigeria and Nantes winger Moses Simon has won his first title with the Ligue 1 side after helping them to a 1-0 win over Nice in the final match of the French Cup.

Simon started and he almost set up Kolo Muani with a clever cut back but the striker’s effort was smartly blocked by the defence of Nice. He was substituted in the 73rd minutes as Nantes seek to close the game up.

Ludovic Blas penalty was enough for the French side to claim their first major trophy in 22 years. It is the fourth time they are winning the historic trophy which is originally named Coupe de France. The win means they are through to the group stage of the Europa League.

Meanwhile before the start of the game , the president of France Emmanuel Macron was seen on TV having a chat with Simon. He held the hands of the Nigerian who is widely linked with a move away from the club in the summer.
