The head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Jose Peseiro has submitted the list of players who will represent Nigeria when they take on Sierra Leone on the 18th of June in Monrovia, OwnGoalNigeria.comcan exclusively reveal.
Nigeria need a win from their final two games in the qualifiers to seal a spot at next year Africa Cup of Nations. The first of the two games will be against Sierra Leone in Monrovia, the adopted home ground of The Lone Stars.
Ahead of the game, the Portuguese coach picked 25 players who will be invited for the game and they have already received their invitation letter to the team’s camp in Lagos. Players are expected to start arriving by next weekend.
In the list we gathered, two new players were handed a first time call up to the team and the list will be made public later this week with all the major leagues now on break. Three players from teams in the Nigeria Professional Football League were also included in the list.
