Nigeria U20 midfielder Victor Eletu has turned down the option of a new five year deal offered to him by Italian giants AC Milan, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Eletu recently signed professional terms with the team after graduating from their football school, which he joined at the age of 14 to the U19 where he has since established himself as one of the stars of the team.
As exclusively reported by OwnGoalNigeria.com yesterday, the 18 year old is pushing for an exit from the Serie A side in search of first team football be it on loan or a permanent deal. His representatives have already communicated his decision to the hierarchy of the Milan side.
Tuttomercatoweb an Italian publication confirmed that he has indeed asked to leave the team this summer despite the fact that he still has two years left on the deal that he signed when he turned professional last year. He was made one of the captains of the U19 team of Ignacio Abate.
He excelled with the Nigeria U20 team at the U20 World Cup in Argentina with an assist to his name with Nigeria crashing out in the quarter final following a 0-1 loss to South Korea.
