Cameroon international Jean-Charles Castelletto has donated kits to fast rising Kaduna based football academy Simoiben Football Academy, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Castelletto represented Cameroon at the 2022 World Cup, scoring in the 3-3 draw against Serbia in their second group game at the tournament, where they failed to make it past the group stages of the tournament.
The 28 year old centre back is the teammate of Super Eagles star Moses Simon at French Ligue 1 side Nantes, the husband to the owner of Simoiben Football Academy Mrs Sarah Ibukun Moses Simon.
While emphasizing on the need to give back to the society Castelletto said “It’s my little contribution to young people with big dreams”. Items he donated includes set of jerseys for the team, official team wears, medical bands, movable goal posts and equipments for drilling of goalkeepers.
Simoiben Football Academy is slowly emerging as a force in Nigeria when it comes to players development, with the likes of Emmanuel Michael of the Nigeria U17 team and U20 duo Benjamin Fredrick and Nicholas Jonathan players of the football club.
