President of Italian Serie A side Napoli Aurelio De Laurentiis fired back at Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal in an embarrassing manner over their attempts to sign the Nigerian forward.
De Laurentiis has always insisted that the Nigerian isn’t for sale this summer despite having two years to go on his deal at the club. He is optimistic that Osimhen will put pen to paper on a new three years deal.
Al Hilal didn’t get the message and sent in a bid for the 25 year old, which drew a response from the eccentric club president telling them to try again next year for hs feet with €500m.
His response was made public by french tabloid L’equipe “You can buy Osimhen’s feet for €200m. For €200m, you can only buy Victor’s feet… maybe. Next year I guess you’ll be ready to offer €500m and maybe we will consider your bid. Again, maybe”, he was quoted to have said in his reply to the mail with their bid of €150m.
The Saudi Arabia outfit didn’t return with an improved offer but by the words of the president, Osimhen will be worth €500m next summer, a warning to teams willing to snatch the Nigerian from the club.
