Nigeria international winger Moses Simon scored the lone goal for Nantes as they pick up their first win of the season with a 1-0 win away to Clermont Foot 63, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Simon took advantage of the weak position of the goakeeper of Clermont and with an audacious lob he placed the ball in the back of the net from third yards out for his first goal of the season.

The 28 year old has now made a goal contribution for Nantes in their last three games, heading into what is his fifth straight season at the club with the French Cup win two years ago, the height of his achievement since his move from Levante.

Reacting to the goal, television pundit Pierre Bouby said the Nigerian has no right to score from that angle, especially as it was a loose ball that was toed into his path by his teammate who intercepted a pass.

” He shouldn’t be thinking of scoring from there and with a ball that is more of a loose ball. That goal is probably the best in his catalogue. When you look at it again and again, he has no right to score from that range”, he said while analyzing the game.
