The controversy surrounding the manner in which Nigeria international forward Terem Moffi celebrated one of his two goals against PSG has refused to die down, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Moffi was tormentor in chief as his team secure a 3-2 win over the Ligue 1 champions grabbing a brace and an assist. He celebrated his second goal by taking off his shirt right in the stand for the home fans and putting it in their faces. A provocative getsture which drew the ire of Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe showed his annoyance and whispered to the forward about it during a throw-in. Despite that Moffi didn’t appear to see anything wrong and aimed a dig at the French world cup star on Instagram.
On his Instagram page, the 24 year old shared three pictures of his celebration during the course of the game, accompanying it with a picture of MMA fighter Conor McGregor after a victory of 2016. McGregor famously said ” “I would like to take this opportunity to apologize, from the bottom from my heart, next to…absolutely no one.”
A possible response to Mbappe, clearly saying he doesn’t think he should apologize or be worried over the criticism that his celebration has generated even from players in his team.
