The squad of the senior national team of Nigeria for the friendly games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique respectively has been hit with news that three players won’t be available for the game, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Nigeria will take on Saudi Arabia on the 13th of October before taking on Mozambique three days later with both games to take place in Portugal.

A list of 25 players was made public by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as put together by head coach of the team Jose Peseiro. The players are expected to start making their way to the camp of the team by Monday.

However, three players in the team have been hit by injuries which will certainly rule them out of the game with Nottingham Forest Ola Aina leading the pack, like we earlier reported. He is set for a spell on the sidelines and won’t play today.

It is the same situation for Gent of Belgium Jordan Torunarigha who missed his team Europa Conference League win over Maccabi Tel-Aviv yesterday with an injury, and isn’t expected back for the next two weeks, effectively ruling him out of the game like we reported yesterday.

Although his case is not yet confirmed, it seems Club Brugge of Belgium midfielder Raphael Onyedika is also out of the squad for the game. He is nursing a knock picked up during the course of their 0-1 loss to Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in the Europa Conference League yesterday.

To that extent, we exclusively gathered that three players have been contacted to be on standby by the NFF, who are waiting for Peseiro to make a final decision on who will be brought in as replacement.
