The international future of Crystal Palace forward Ademola Ola-Adebomi has been laid to rest by a representative of the player, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Ola-Adebomi was a part of the Nigeria U20 team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, but a mix up over the number of days he is permitted to stay in the camp of the team saw him miss out on a spot in the team for the tournament.
He wasn’t in the mix for the U20 World Cup in Argentina, but he has since put that disappointment behind and has his mind set on breaking into the first team of Crystal Palace following his elevation to the first team on a permanent basis.
A profile striker for the club at U18 where he scored 18 goals in 33 games, for the U21 he got 10 goals in 27 games leading to his elevation to the first team this season.
Coach Roy Hodgson has named him on the bench for the last three consecutive games of the team, meaning a first team debut is very close and he considers that as the first step towards his dream of representing Nigeria at the 2026 World Cup.
” Nothing has changed. He ( Ademola) still wants to play for Nigeria but for now he has to cement his spot in the first team of Crystal Palace. The signs are good but a spot in the AFCON team is too sudden, so let’s say the World Cup 2026 if Super Eagles makes it to the tournament”, a member of his representatives told OwnGoalNigeria.com.
