The senior national team of Nigeria will approach their friendly game against Saudi Arabia with the same style and pattern they used in the last game of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Nigeria thrashed Sao Tome and Principe 6-0 in Uyo one month ago with head coach Jose Peseiro playing a four man attack of Taiwo Awoniyi, Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Kelechi Iheanacho.
They are got either a goal or assist in the game and the coach was delighted with the way the team acquitted themselves, he has decided to adopt the same approach when they take on Saudi Arabia tomorrow in Portugal and even against Mozambique on the 16th.
We exclusively gathered that they will be lined up in a 4-2-4 although some players who started against Sao Tome won’t be in the team. For now the trio of Kelechi Iheanacho, Ademola Lookman and Taiwo Awoniyi who is absent due to injury won’t be in the starting lineup.
Peseiro will likely hand their role to Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Boniface with Osimhen, the only one sure to keep his spot tomorrow. The team will have another full training session later today before a decision on the lineup will be settled.
