The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says former captain and goalkeeper of the senior national team of Nigeria Vincent Enyeama hasn’t been added to the coaching crew of the team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

News around some media outlets in Nigeria speculated that he has been added to the squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, which begins on the 14th of January in Cote d’Ivoire.

Enyeama made the news to brew when he made a cryptic post under the team’s official handle, when they posted a video of the players of the team boarding their bus ahead of a training session, as they get set to regroup again for preparation ahead of the AFCON.

” Let’s gooooo. See you in camp. Time for business”, he commented under the video posted on the official Instagram handle of the senior national team of Nigeria.

Responding, the director of communication at the NFF Ademola Olajire said there is nothing in the post and if the AFCON 2013 winner is added to the crew, it will be made official by the football house.

“NFF has not offered Enyeama any role. People should stop the bruiting of this very fake news. It is annoying”, he clarified when asked about OwnGoalNigeria.com.

“If there’s anything like that, there would be a statement from the NFF”, he rounded up saying.
